Announcing our Strategic Partnership with ProMedica
We are excited to announce that we have joined the ProMedica Health System, an acute care provider in NW Ohio and SE Michigan with additional capabilities in post-acute care.
As a result of this affiliation, the combined organization now provides an unmatched breadth of services and capabilities, including: an acute care hospital system, a physician group, telehealth, several health plans, an academic affiliation, skilled nursing, assisted living, rehabilitation, memory care services, home health and hospice care.
The expansion of ProMedica through the addition of HCR ManorCare to its health system makes ProMedica the 15th largest health care system in the country focused on improving health and wellbeing, and through the acquisition of HCR ManorCare, the largest non-profit senior living organization in the country for skilled nursing, assisted living and hospice care.
Healthcare needs are rapidly evolving and require a healthcare organization that keeps pace. Our goal is to leverage our integrated resources that span the entire healthcare continuum and bring our knowledge to our other affiliates to help improve care delivery in a safe and cost effective manner.
When looking at the significant growth of the senior demographics, ProMedica and HCR ManorCare realized a need to innovate care outside of the traditional model to appropriately address the growing needs of seniors.
Traditionally patients were treated and then moved to the next level of clinical care or to home. By combining resources and bringing best practices to the table, HCR ManorCare and ProMedica will be able to make that transition smoother as we focus on each patient’s wellbeing and coordinate our ability to manage at each level of care.
One of our first initiatives is to reinvest back into our facilities, our people, technology and our community.
